It’s 1979 and you have the license to make a Little Golden Book for Buck Rogers. Do you use space pirates? Of course not! How about a group of orphans being menaced by mutants? That’s the ticket!

And why have the Earth Defense forces rescue the kids, when you can dump a big barrel of pepper on the mutants to make them sneeze, then abandon the kids to remain out in the radioactive wasteland! Much more fun.
